Ignis is an emerging organisation in the learning and development industry offering programs on soft skills training.
The relatively new brand works with the aim of transforming lives by igniting, illuminating and inspiring every individual whom they can assist. When they came to Prarambhan, they wanted a brand logo design that would symbolise their individuality and uniqueness.
We took up this project under our initiative of The Next Big Brand (TNBB), a fellowship program to encourage Indian SMEs to build their brand identity developed by a top brand design agency at marginal cost. For Ignis, our attention was to do one of the most creative works of branding i.e. to create a logo design that is simple yet speaks about the core benefit and elements of the brand. It also needed to communicate their motto of providing learning skill training to all age groups, taking the target audience graph to a broader scale.
After doing a collage of variety of images, texts and colours paying attention to all the elements, we created three logo options. The final logo selected out of this used a symbol of three people connecting which connotes the collaboration of learning minds. The colours chosen were very precise – Yellow, Blue and Purple representing inspiration, confidence and wisdom respectively. For the font, we used Futura from the Sans Serif typeface giving it a heavier, highlighted and catchy look.
